One of the most attractive aspects of Jedi: Fallen Order's gameplay was how players could discover cosmetic upgrades from organic exploration, and these ship modules could easily be offered as rewards for their own unique puzzles in the upcoming Survivor. If this is to be the case, then Jedi: Survivor would do well to adopt a similar approach to ship customization as Starfield, allowing players to make tangible stat changes to their ship via the implementation of certain modules and upgrades. This could foster an environment in which franchise protagonist Cal Kestis receives a more personal ship with actual space travel gameplay, which would of course necessitate a greater level of customization. From what little promotional material currently exists of the upcoming Jedi: Survivor, it appears that the Mantis may take a much more reduced role in the anticipated sequel. Jedi: Fallen Order featured ship customization in the way of purely cosmetic paint jobs for the Mantis, which was the main spacecraft within the title's narrative.
